The Columbia Hike Society has been formed to encourage residents and tourists alike to discover and enjoy the mountains, whilst testing the latest Columbia gear (usually snow shoes and a winter jacket).
These winter snowshoe sessions will see you exploring the likes of Loriaz and the Chalets de Chailloux in the Chamonix valley. All trips are hosted and led by a fully qualified guide and generally run from 10:00 to 17:30.
You meet at the Columbia store in the centre of Chamonix for a spot of breakfast and explanation of the gear test and itinerary for the day, which even includes a picnic lunch.
Back at the store by around 16:30, there’s time for a little aperitif Savoyard style, before wishing your fellow Columbia Hike Society friends farewell!
